Ancient Music of 22 Tones conforms to Archyta’s Doctrine of Means
     Archytas was a great mathematical visionary belonging to the Pythagorean era of Ancient Greece. He intuited that music should be evolved on the basis of 'means' lying between the extremities of an octave. This great doctrine, however, was not exploited by the later musicologists of Greece due to lack of clarity and directions. I have extrapolated this doctrine of 'means' from the musicological angle and identified various 'means' within an octave. Much to my amazement, these converge totally with the 'god-fractions' of early Sumeria. Please explore this link for further amplification of this finding:
